It seems like everyone in BK’s got his head in a hat this year, and somebody popped a waterplug on Maujer Street two days ago that’s been open ever since! A cat walked right in the back door from outside and left as quickly as he’d come in just as I got up to confront him, and I felt a little guilty because it’s 100 degrees outside! The West Village restaurant where we ate on Saturday night is called Tartine, in case you’re the one I was talking to when I couldn’t remember that information, and you can sit outside and glisten and drink cold wine you bring for yourself. We’re going to make a sale on Saturday; Te Amo from Mexico City at Mercado Libre on Grand Street and Bedford Avenue. Free drinks: Vampiros (Bloody Marias… Sangritas shaken up) and Margaritas. A party may follow. Demand is long on supply, so I’m extending my NYC engagement through July 10 or 11.
